Electronic Resources Management Task Group

Created to examine workflow and other issues within the consortium and to evaluate the products on the market.

Charge:

This group is tasked to identify consortial functional needs for electronic resource management, compare products actually on the market, hold informational sessions for all interested USMAI staff, and recommend an outcome to CLD.

Membership in this task group includes representatives from acquisitions, database licensing and ITD. Currently, 85% of consortial electronic resources are acquired through the consortial office. The only campuses that handle a substantial number of independent electronic licenses are the two law libraries and HSHSL. An ERM system will need to be able to handle the management of consortial electronic resources as well as the unique resources held by individual libraries.
