Charge:
The purpose of the task group is to advise and make recommendations to the USMAI Council of Library Directors on requests and priorities relating to acquisitions and serials functionality in the consortial environment. This includes: Reviewing requests submitted by campuses; recommending priorities related to EDI activities and development with vendors; periodically updating the COI (COIseracq@itd.umd.edu) on Serials and Acquisitions on related issues; and collaborating with other USMAI groups. Members have a background in acquisitions or serials and an awareness of other bibliographic needs in the system, as well as policies for holdings and item records. Members of the task group serve for two years, and at the conclusion of the two years, the group and the charge will be evaluated for possible renewal.
