1. What have you found that works in AV16 but not in AV18? Please refer to RX numbers for more detail. Also please prioritize. At the top of the report should be any malfunctions that are essential to day-to-day operations, e.g. “move items” or “serial check-in”, etc.
   
   All of these need to be fixed before release to LIVE:
   • An individual user’s saved items within their accounts need to migrate to their accounts within AV18.
   • RX 2864 describes authentication issues for users with multiple affiliations.
   • RX 2822 describes summaries/item display inconsistencies.
   
   
   
2. What have you not been able to test? Specify if the reason is that it is not available to test, or that you ran out of time.
   • No test of PDQ from Catalog. We are awaiting recommendation from special test group.
   • No test of Authorities. Is this set up? There would be much interface work to be done if we intend to release this in LIVE.
   • No test of Find It button from Catalog. Button is known to be missing in places. It is NOT set up to link as yet.
   • New Titles base is not in TEST. We need to think about procedures needed to move this to LIVE.
   • No test of single sign on to ILLiad. We haven’t figured out the scenario. Having Find-it set up would facilitate testing.
   
   
   
3. What should be addressed before we release this to all testers? For example, maybe it’s just ‘a’ and ‘b’ under #2, but not ‘c’.
   • Set up Find It button everywhere and link it to SFX.
   • IF PDQ works properly, then UITG needs to reassess screen design to insure that it is ready for testing. You don’t want the screen design flaws to distract testers from properly testing functionality.
   • E-shelf functionality is sufficiently different so as to prevent proper testing of the functionality. UITG needs to adjust the screens.
   
   
   
4. List any new features or improvements in AV18 that you find to be good or helpful.
   • According to ALEPH release notes, Guest users’ saved items (to basket) should migrate to that individual’s e-shelf IF the user logs in during the session. This is not working.
   • Single-sign on for ResearchPort and Catalog and ILLiad.
   • Browse search results list now indicate where search term would appear in results list if there are no results for that term.
   • Merging of Saved Items and Basket is useful.
   
   
   
5. Is there any other information that would be helpful in understanding the status of this upgrade?
   
   

Nothing comes to mind, except PDQ results. UITG has /a lot /of screen work to do and PDQ would certainly be part of that.
