1. General Introduction to Processing
   This loader reloads 13,620 bibs (known as "AutoGraphics" records) that were extracted from ALEPH in July 2006 for batchload processing by OCLC to obtain OCLC-sourced MARC records for catalogUSMAI and to set WorldCat holdings for SM. Incoming records will match on ALEPH bib sys number and overlay the existing record, except when the existing record is STA DELETED. Incoming records that match existing DELETED bibs must be reported out in their entirety.
   
   
2. Bibliographic Record Processing
   
   1. Record matching Rules
      Match number will be represented as a number with prefix "alephsys" in subfield "a" of incoming tag 035 with blank indicators. Loader matches this number, sans prefix, against existing SYS numbers in catalog.
      
      
   2. Overlay Rules
      Always overlay, unless existing bib is STA DELETED. Do not load records matching existing records that have been deleted, but report out instead.
      
      
   3. Tag Protection
      Apply regular.
      
      
   4. Local Data Tags (Super Holdings)
      N/A
      
      
   5. MeSH Subject Headings Handling
      Apply regular.
      
      
   6. Reordering of Tags
      Apply regular.
      
      
   7. Indexing
      Apply regular.
      
      
3. HOLdings, Summary holdings, and Item and Order/Invoice Record Creation
   This loader does not generate any items or HOLdings; however, for all records loaded, loader will add a single tag XPT $a Y $b (OCLC institutional code) per institution based on existing HOLdings on the existing bib, excluding SM.

4. Reports
   
   • Report out full MARC records not loaded because they match system numbers of deleted ALEPH bibs (to cf. with existing bibs and insure that the OCLC accession number to which SM holdings was set is represented in catalogUSMAI, or to identify bibs from which SM holdings should be removed from WorldCat)
     
     
   • Generate a report of bib sys numbers for existing ALEPH bibs having the same LCCN (tag 010) as the incoming records; include bib sys numbers for both incoming and existing records (for manual deduplication of bibs in catalogusmai)
     
     
   • Report out records with any other library besides SM that has holdings attached.
