USMAI is hosting NAAUG and we have more options for registering attendees. Ruschoff suggested inviting all CLD directors to attend the first meeting on June 6, which is open and does not require registration. Eight people have been registered already, including those presenting at the conference. In addition, CLD agreed to register and fund ITD systems librarians Yalan Qi and Heidi Hanson, programmers Dave Kennedy and Ben Wallberg, and the chairs of relevant task groups: Beverly Gresehover, Jessame Ferguson, and Cindy Todd (to cover PAC issues). Gontrum will contact the three non-ITD staff to confirm that they are willing and able to attend. Gontrum will also send out an email describing the self-nomination process for others to register to attend the full conference or particular breakout sessions. Those additional attendees will need to be funded by their institutions. Attending breakout sessions does not require paying for full registration.
Minutes of the 10/21/04 CLD Executive Council meeting were approved.
Wilt reviewed revised acquisitions budget figures. CLD Exec passed a motion that these numbers be approved for use in formula for acquisitions figure. Wilt distributed the old LIMS revenue budget table and draft table for determining local site equipment figures. Adjustments need to be made for HSHSL and UMUC. CLD Exec supported the use of figures in second to last column (7 PC's per 1,000 FTE + 25% for misc. equipment) for local site equipment figures (an exception will have to be made for UMUC).
With Exec Committee concurrence, Wilt and Wilson will add approximately $700,000 to the Core Services portion of the budget for FY07. This, added to the approximately $300,000 which is already built into the $2,777,087 Core Services total, will yield approximately $1,000,000 for Core Databases within a $3,477,000 Core Services total for FY07. The Exec Committee defers to USMERC to calculate the projected FY07 cost of the current centrally funded databases; Wilt's provisional projection is $646,335, which, if correct, would leave $353,665 for additional core databases.
The Electronic Database Subscriptions budget line for FY07, for databases in addition to the core, will be the FY06 Electronic Database Subscriptions budget line plus 10% for inflationary cost increases.
The budget committee will finish work on tables and bring them to CLD for discussion.

Day reported that first rounds of database renewal pricing will be distributed later today. They are nearly complete, but watch for additional pricing shortly. USMERC is discussing recommending that CLD no longer centrally fund LexisNexis Primary Sources: African American Studies because of its lack of usage statistics. USMERC will investigate alternatives, such as Alexander Street Press's Black Thought and Culture.
The emergency reflector, libusmai-sos, is set up and ITD is refining the set of addresses it includes. It will be used solely for emergencies.
