Meeting Minutes

Present: Marlene Vikor, Linda Sequin, Ted Kruse, Celia Rabinowitz, David Kennedy, Laura Wrubel, Betty Day, Mary Gilbert, Jean Phillips, Bill Sleeman, Wilma Bass (minutes), Heidi Hanson

Next meetings: Tuesday May 9, 10-12 at College Park Room 7121
Tuesday, June 13, 10–12 at UMBC
Jean will ask Joyce to send out a schedule for the remainder of the year

1. NetLibrary Loader:
   Follow up:
   

       Heidi – done in Test—wording for 'Limit by Collection'=Netlibrary E–books
       Limit by location is not completed

   Action Items:
   

   • Betty – will check to see that all collections are available to all USMAI sites
   • ITD – will move new loader from test to live and then load NetLibrary loader to test
   • Laura – will add ISBNS to KB once loaded into test
   • Marlene – will append sample record to specs
   • Marlene – will forward to CPC for comments, review
   • CPC – will send to COIALL

   NetLibrary records should be live by end of June

2. 856 Cleanup
   
   Linda Seguin offered a document of guiding principles and possible remedies for ALEPH URL cleanup. Discussion included
   
   • Suppress or delete URL
   • Free vs. subscription items
   • Items in KB , items not in KB , items for local access only
   • Interface issues, how to display viewing options in catalogUSMAI
   • Free materials, keep URL in bib or create an instance of "guest" login to provide access to Find It menu
     
     
   Action Items:
   
   • SFX enabled URLs will be deleted from MARC serial records only in Test
   • E–content team will review KB holdings by end of June
   • Campuses will review their holdings in KB by end of June
   • Betty/Jean will send an e–mail to USMAI explaining process
   • ITD will prepare a report of 956 by campus (sorted by $7)
   • Laura will bring notes on interface issues developed at today's meeting to UITG May 2 meeting
   • Laura will arrange joint meeting of UITG & ERIC 2 TG to discuss interface issues–possibly July 5 at UMBC
     
     
3. Eluna presentation
   
   

   Laura and Marlene shared outline of presentation

   Action Items:
   
   • Laura, Marlene, Linda, Jean and Betty will arrange "Dress Rehearsal"
   • Discussion of presentation will be #1 on ERIC agenda for May meeting
     
     
4. Other Services for Find It
   
   Follow up:
   
   • Individual campus response will be discussed at E-content May meeting
   • Members of ERIC would like to attend any information session arranged with Serials Solution
