ERM Task Group Minutes - DRAFT

Corrections to October 5th minutes were noted and will be changed.

• Topic 1 - Review and status of timeline
  1. Betty ran through the overview of the Verde status information to be given to the CLD on October 19th.
  2. Nathan and Betty will be meeting with Anne Bowden on 10/26/06.
  3. Routine travel - CLD has agreed to fund travel for implementation/training; routine travel to meetings, etc. will no longer be covered by CLD.
  4. Nathan distributed workflows from DLF; Betty distributed updated Verde timeline and a chart of roles in Verde. Law's workflow and roles are going to be used to start as model.
  5. Committee walked through changes in the timeline.
  6. Dave, Laura and Betty conferred via conference call with Ex Libris week of October 9th.
  7. Local data being still being added to Verde 1.1
  8. Week of October 16th - Ex Libris refreshing Verde KB on 2.0 and V.1.1.
  9. Week of October 23rd - Data conversion process from V.1.1 to 2.0 will take place, and Verde test server will be upgraded from 1.1 to 20.
  
  
  
• Topic 2 - Review of issues noted as working in test
  1. Licensing field issues still outstanding. Nathan will document and Betty will send to Ex Libris
  2. Time involved to have changes from Verde to SFX take place? These will be on overnight run.
  3. Laura is going to check the SFX and Verde information to see what licensing information can be displayed in the FindIt menu.
  4. Training need: There will need to be emphasis placed on how to search both the consortial and local instances for complete information about a library's local collection.
  5. Add to timeline - Aleph integration.
  6. Agreement that HS/HSL will be the next site up after Law and UMBC have come up.
  
  
  
• Topic 3 - Review of work in progress
  1. Renaming each library instance to more recognizable names
  2. As new campus instances created, each should be deselected for all consortial resources unless resource is an MDL resource held by all campuses. From there, instance will be customized with resources that are licensed 'selectively' in the consortium.
  3. GAs need to be careful to activate the correct packages; for example, CQ Researcher - through CQ Electronic Library
  4. ACM package does not activate all titles; activations of titles was selective.
  5. Literature Reference Center - Only Gale Group interface available.
  6. Chronicle of Higher Education - need to find the interface version and set up as a standalone; then localize for consortial members who subscribe.
  7. CSA - Sociological Abstracts is present, but not the Social Services Abstracts.
  8. Betty will send questions/problems to Verde
     • Britannica Online, Bibliography of History of Art, America: History and Life - display as journals with ISSN. What is best way to 'repair' this?
     "Donor" field in contacts - want to change to this to "Director"
     • Where to place user id/password information.
