Aleph Report Request Help

To request a report, use the same Aleph Report Form for requesting reports
at:
http://www.itd.umd.edu/cgi-bin/ALEPHform.cgi
Please provide as much information as you can in the Description box:
- Review information on the report that you'd like to request so that you can provide
the appropriate information
- Select Aleph Report Form and fill in all fields as you do when
reporting Aleph problems
- Choose Report Request from Functional Area of the drop down list
- Email - put in your email address if you wish to receive a copy of your request. Otherwise
the request will go to ITD.
- Complete Description - detail the following:
Report title: title of the report you wish to use, e.g., Call numbers H - I report
Selection criteria: what you want for the report, or the condition of processing the report, e.g.,
collection code 'stacks' and call number 'HD'
Display/Listing: what you want to see on the report, report columns, e.g., title,
sublibrary,collection code, and barcode.
Sorting: provide sorting preference. See each report for details.
For example:
sort by system number
sort by sublibrary/collection/call number
- ITD will review the request and ask for additional information if necessary. **
- To provide additional information, reply via the web request form, not to the email you have received.
- If for some reason a request can not be satisfied, requester will be informed.
- ITD will notify the requester via email and close the web request form when
report is delivered.
** Please keep in mind that it's a negotiation process in order to understand what
exactly is requested. It may be followed by phone calls or email exchanges.
