The Count of Loans by Institution report is a count of items currently on loan. It is a "snapshot" of current loans in Aleph (Z36). This report is based on the old Carl LOANREP report.

The report is setup to run the first day of each month. The Task Manager version of this report is in eight parts. You can print out only those sections that you need or you can print the whole report. If you have questions about this report please post them to the CircResIll COI reflector.

This report provides a count of items currently on loan, broken down by borrowing and lending institution. It counts all active loans (including overdue items) to patrons with borrower ids starting with '0'. It does not count lost items, intransit items, claimed returned items, or anything else charged to the 'internal' patrons (intransit, tracer, lost).

The report is available in two formats. A text version is in the task manager (loanrep). An HTML version is available from the LIMS3 reports page. (http://www.itd.umd.edu/LIMS3/REPORTS)

The summary section of the report gives, for each institution, a count of items charged to their own borrowers, a count of items on loan to borrowers from other institutions, and a count of items on loan from other institutions. These counts are given for all borrowers, as well as broken down by Faculty, Staff, Grads, Undergrads, and other borrowers.

The detail section shows how many items from each institution are on loan to borrowers of each institution. These counts are given for the same borrower categories as the summary.
