Submitting RX Requests and Trouble Reporting
This page is designed for USMAI staff who have problems, questions or requests about the services provided by ITD, which includes ALEPH and Research Port.
Emergencies
If you have an emergency with one of the services provided to USMAI members by ITD, please call the ITD Help Desk at 301/405-9188. During ITD's office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00) the Help Desk staff will record your information and refer it to the appropriate staff. Outside of these hours, on the weekends and holidays, this number is answered by a professional answering service. They have been instructed to contact the ITD Manager on-call for every call they receive.
Routine Requests and Trouble Reporting
Routine Requests include submitting Rx requests for Circulation Events such as Expiration Dates, Close Dates, and Address Flips. Routine requests also include submitting Rx requests for reports such as a Shelf List Report.
User Request Forms are used to create new Aleph users in Circulation, Reserves and Inter Library Loan, Catalog and Database Maintenance and Acquisitions and Serials. For more information click on the link below.
Before submitting a problem report for Research Port or Find It, check the list of known Research Port problems as well as the troubleshooting guide for guidance for typical problems. If the problem persists, please fill out a Problem Reporting form for Research Port and Find It.
