Electronic Resource Licensing:

• Distributed individual campus renewal worksheets for all USMAI and MDL libraries
• Finalized January renewals
• Set up FY 07 renewal websites for USMAI and MDL

Authentication:

• Shibboleth project report. The project to "shibbolize" PDS was successfully completed on our part. ExLibris needs to make a correction in their software. Once this is tested we will be ready to move it to live. There will not be visible changes in this first implementation, but when we get the next service "shibbolized" we will see true single sign on between these two services.

ResearchPort:

• Reviewed and updated configurations for cross-searching in RP

Aleph:

• Closed over 1,000 Aleph Rxes in calendar year 2005!!!
• Authorities: wrote extraction script; extracted sample 10,000 records, waiting for instructions on delivery to vendor.
• Fixed a problem in the catalog with using the "back" button (Rx#939).

Electronic Resource Management (Verde):

• Configured server for test instance and two additional instances for Verde
• Completed procurement work and placed order for Verde
• Completed training for ITD staff and ERM Task Group
• Prepared SFX export files for College Park and UMBC for loading into Verde
• Prepared extract of Filemaker database for loading into Verde

Inter Library Loan:

• Atlas installed and did initial configuration on the Illiad servers over the Holiday break.

E-Resources in the Catalog (ERIC):

• Updated test Aleph with screen changes in response to usability testing and group work.
• Worked on preparations for the Open Forum, scheduled for 1/12, at 1:00. For more information, including a document on what Find-it in the catalog will look like see the Eric Task Group web site.

Off-site Storage: supported the move of CP items from Moravia to the new facility at the Applied Physics Lab campus of Johns Hopkins.

Patron Loader/Email notices:

• Tested HSL new format file.
• Worked on duplicate record problems for CP and ES.
• 4 campuses (Frostburg, Morgan, UB, and UB Law) are working on the first step of creating a patron loader, i.e. getting a test file from their campus I.T. Once we receive these test files we can begin our work.
• Daily courtesy notices and Hold Available notices will go into production at CP before the overdue/lost notices. Wrote a script which will produce "email only" courtesy notices for CP.

EDI Invoice Loading:

• See the EDI Loader status page.
• UB EDI cleanup - cleanup reports were reprocessed and resent to campus.

EDI Ordering:Updated profile with BBS. Received draft loader specifications. Information about this ongoing project is available on the COI site for Acquisitions and Serials under EDI.

Infrastructure:

• Continued to work on installing new equipment, our big deadline is January 20th.

Personnel:

• Web Application Developer search committee interviewed candidates.
