E-Resources in the Catalog (ERIC):
- Continued campus customizations to SFX menu in the catalog (edited wording, added and removed services)
- Created Books in Print reviews target and set up for HS, BC, SM, CP, UC
- Refined functionality of SFX links in catalog to correct where no links to availability/request appearing
- Worked on ERIC responses to feedback on soft release. Reviewed feedback. Investigating and implementing functionality in test to improve Find It services in the catalog, such as genre-based thresholds and making the 856 links display in the Find It menu.
Inter Library Loan:
- Initial ILLiad training has been conducted by Atlas Systems. Feedback has all been very positive regarding the training.
- Atlas is offering their remaining training via Live Web sessions.
- On site training will be conducted by the RSTG Illiad subgroup if needed.
- ITD is working on setting up file sharing in order to accomodate the consortial installation. The installation and testing of the client at the remote sites cannot proceed until the file sharing is setup.
- Five members of RSTG prepared their presentation for the International Illiad Users Group meeting in March.
- Worked on Z39.50 searching between Illiad and Aleph. All Illiad sites can benefit, the fix does require Illiad 7.1.3.0. UB tested the fix successfully.
Authentication:
- Review the Shibboleth documentation for more information.
- Worked on Shibboleth login interface in test Research Port
- Worked on ILLiad software to use Shibboleth for authentication.
- Reviewed Metalib updates for Shibboleth through standard service pack.
ResearchPort:
- Attended joint ELUNA/IGELU meeting in Boston to plan coordinated efforts to manage implementation. Assumed responsibility for establishing IGLEU Verde Product Working Group
Electronic Resource Management (Verde):
- ERM Task Group met twice for intensive work sessions related to the interpretation of licenses for Verde
- Prepared new SFX loads for Verde test instances
Electronic Resource Licensing:
- Collated renewal "wish lists" for 50 Maryland Digital Library participants including USMAI. In process of negotiating pricing for several hundred electronic resources.
- Resolved price disputes with several vendors resulting in credits.
Patron Loader/Email notices:
- Reviewed Frostburg's concerns about overlay policies in the patron load process. Will do a complete test when their load is ready, but it looks like their issues have already been addressed. Awaiting a test file from them.
- UMES: removed a number of duplicates. We continued to test their patron files against the live database (in report mode).

Aleph:
- We have been working with Marlene Vikor on a number of item status flips for CPCIS items in support of the move of the Library School items to other CP libraries.
- Started research for the New Titles catalog.
- Setup new databases (one bibliographic, two authorities) for review of LTI Authorities test records.
- Loaded bibliographic and authorities records into these databases.
- Worked on permissions and client updates to enable review of Authorities databases.
- Aleph client - working with ExLibris USA support on client crashing issues.
- Worked on the User Interface Task Group's proposed changes to the full view of record in the catalog.
- Prange Education collection - investigated request to extract Bibliographic information for the Prange Education Collection. This requires an extract of bibliographic information from the HOLdings file (i.e. Superholding information).
- Aleph Security Subgroup - organized the first meeting and provided update to AASTG
- WorldCat Holding synchronization - OCLC's processing is taking a bit longer than expected. Have not been able to resume regular XPT process. Worked on tab validation table to allow the new XPX tag used in the extract of records.
- St. Mary's Autographics records cleanup project - began discussions on process and requirements for deduplication of Autographics records. Also began discussion with CP on how their UMC99 records might be handled at the same time.
EDI Invoice Loading:
- Received test file from Hein for ML.

Personnel:
- Said farewell to Kari Schmidt who leaves the E-Content team to be Collection Management and E-Resources librarian at the library at Georgetown Medical School
- Worked on cross-training to handle duties that Fahnbulleh Zarzar had covered.
