Synching SFX in the Catalog Status

Status: There are 4 aspects of this work:

• Extract from sfx: the standard extract does not provide all fields, ITD has written an extract to be used in this process.
• Determining changed/added/deleted records: process has been discussed, up to ITD to write the program
• Load into the catalog: ERIC2 subgroup has worked out a possible algorithm for matching. ITD is responsible for creating a loader that uses this algorithm. Once something is available in test will send to COIs for review and testing.
• Provide full bibliographic records for those that do not match existing bib. record in the catalog. ERIC2 has been reviewing the options. In process of interviewing vendors.
